6. AAC Evaluations & Consultations

Our Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) evaluations determine the best communication system for each individual. We tailor assessments using standardized and non-standardized methods, including trials of AAC devices and programs. Observations in home or school settings and team consultations precede evaluations. We provide a written report for insurance and offer optional team training, follow-up consultations, and device programming for additional fees.

AAC consultations are  designed to match the needs of an individual, family, or school (public or private), and may include programming of a new or existing AAC device and recommendations for communicative success in home and school environments. Workshops and training sessions covering various aspects of AAC usage are also available for additional fees.
